Project Notes

Due to the growth of the airport in the late 1990s, the existing parking structure at Dallas Love Field, 3 levels with an open lot for long-term parking, no longer sufficed. Additional parking spots were needed, so a new structure was built with a bridge connecting the two.

The project's architect had years of positive experience with Chemprobe products and specified its use on the new parking structure. Series 660 Prime-A-Pell 200, a solvent-borne siloxane water repellent, was applied by low pressure spray on all vertical precast concrete on both the new and existing garages. Series 635 Dur A Pell 10, a waterborne silane/siloxane blend water repellent, was applied by low pressure spray on all horizontal concrete of the new structure. Being waterborne, the low odor Series 635 can be applied in interior space and won't wear from constant traffic. It also penetrates deep into the substrate, providing protection against the damaging effects of chloride intrusion.

Chemprobe water repellent products were also used to protect the terminals and parking.
